Menotropin is a combination of hormones in the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. This substance is produced from donor raw materials (urine of women in the menopausal period). The drug has a strong gonadotropic effect, which leads to stimulation of the processes of producing sex hormones.
The effect of the drug depends on the sex of the patient. When using the drug in women, the estrogen content rises, which stimulates the maturation of follicles in the ovaries. In addition, characteristic changes occur in the inner lining of the uterus (endometrium) – increasing the thickness of the mucosa (proliferation), which facilitates the introduction of a fertilized egg.
In the body of male patients, there is also an increase in the content of the sex hormone – testosterone, which mainly stimulates the formation of spermatozoa, leads to an increase in their mobility, and so on. In other words, the quality of sperm is normalized.
Side effects

Dosing and Administration
